Who are we looking for?

Siskinds is growing and we are currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist. This
position will require you to provide IT business application support, IT hardware support
and network support. In the Technical Support role, you are the primary support person on
some line of business applications.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in information technology or equivalent work
experience;
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in technical support;
  • Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library service standards;
  • Microsoft Azure Administration, CompTIA such as A+, Network+, Security+
certifications would each be considered to be an asset
  • Experience with Intune is preferred
  • Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management tool is required
  • Knowledge, certification and working experience with ITILv4 framework standards

(Information Technology Infrastructure Library service standards considered an
asset

  • Knowledge and working experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow is
considered an asset.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with all

levels of staff in person, by email and telephone

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end users;
  • Assist in planning, testing, and implementing software application upgrades and
rollouts;
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for line of business applications;
  • Assist the IT team and practice areas to integrate and modify software as
required;
  • Conduct performance tests on software for quality assurance;
  • Consult on project teams regarding software functionality;
  • Remain current with enhancements made to firm business applications
  • Integrate third party tools with applications when needed and provide one-on-one
support to users as needed.
  • Provide a reliable and stable platform for all laptops by using an imaging tool for
deployment
  • Collaborate with team on complex issues that require advanced troubleshooting
  • Analyze system alerts to determine and rectify cause
  • Provide network troubleshooting and support switch patching and updates, port
configuration, routing changes.
  • Provide assistance as the escalation point from level 1 and level 2 Technical Support
Specialists
  • Support hardware equipment such as laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, AV
equipment
  • Utilize ITSM tool to create, follow up on, process and track tickets efficiently
  • Develop and maintain technical support documentation, methods and procedures
  • Administration of user accounts and access
  • Administer account lockout issues and
  • Create and administer email accounts and user access accounts
  • Perform other duties as assigned
