What's this role all about?

Auvik is seeking a highly motivated, results oriented individual to join our dynamic New Products Sales team. As Technical Account Executive (New Products), you will be responsible for qualifying and closing opportunities for new products introduced to Auvik's portfolio in an overlay fashion.

What will I be doing?

You will be responsible for working with customers to uncover their problems and help them understand how Auvik's new products can solve their issue. By providing iterative feedback to other organizations within Auvik you will accelerate adoption of new products. This is a high-velocity role with new products in a blue ocean market. This is a role with a base salary and variable commission structure.

You will:

  • Develop extensive subject matter expert level knowledge on Auvik's newly introduced products to support business and technical discussions in new to franchise accounts and existing customer accounts.
  • Nurture and close a funnel of cross sell opportunities for Auvik's new products.
  • Engage in pre-sales technical activities for Auvik's newly introduced solutions, including effective product demonstrations and managing a trial/POC process.
  • Develop and promote new tactics and strategies for engaging with customers and prospects on new products, applying your learnings from closed opportunities to Auvik's cross-sell processes.
  • Be responsible for managing your funnel and ensuring that all your activities are tracked.
  • Deliver qualitative and quantitative feedback to Product Marketing, Marketing, and Product Management teams to further refine the early stage products, providing direct feedback to roadmap / development plans and necessary sales support resources (such as customer stories, marketing collateral, proposal templates, and competitive intelligence) that will help push the new products forward.
  • Develop a close working relationship with the Customer Success, Technical Support, Product, Sales Enablement and Product Marketing teams to ensure alignment and feedback loops are established for new product success.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience, including 5+ years experience in presales technical consulting, sales engineering, or equivalent role, or 5+ years of experience in SaaS based sales with appropriate technical background.
  • A tenacious self-starter with a drive to succeed.
  • A people person, with a friendly and positive manner.
  • Great communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Candidates with experience selling network management platforms, RMM/EMM, PSA/ITSM, and SaaS Management Platform solutions are preferred.
  • Must have technical aptitude or experience selling a highly technical product.
  • Keen understanding of the challenges faced by IT pros across various industries, including the IT service provider industry.
  • Proven ability to engage peer-to-peer with IT technical evaluators and IT decision makers, with an ability to match technical needs and capabilities to business problems.
  • Driven by relentless curiosity with a proven history of ongoing professional development, building your skills and knowledge in IT Operations, network management, and evolving network and application standards and protocols.
