Position: Personal Support Worker

Department: Grove Nursing Home

Status: Temporary Part Time (0.4 FTE)

Schedule: Days/Evenings/Nights/Weekends [7.5hr & 11.25hr shifts]

Hourly Rate: $24.45 - $26.83 per hour (October 9, 2022 wage * PSW Wage Enhancement Included*)

Duties to Commence: Approx May 29, 2023

Qualifications:

· Knowledge acquired through the successful completion of a recognized PSW program which meet the current standards of the Ontario Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care Act

· Working knowledge of Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) Behavioral Support Ontario (BSO) and a minimum of one-year experience in palliative

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Current CPR

· Ability to understand, interpret and carry out the written and verbal instructions

· Ability to set priorities

· Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team

· Demonstrates the organization’s values of Honesty, Accountability, Respect & Teamwork

· Ability to perform duties and provide care in a manner that supports and complies with the Residents Bill of Rights
