Responsibilities:
- Excavate and safely slope trenches to grade for general water and sewer installation.
- Work with Pipe Layer to expose existing utilities for tie-ins
- Operate the Excavator and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
- Ensure trench is excavated to the proper depth/grade
- Conduct trench work, meeting OH&S requirements
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 25 years of age
- Excellent problem solving skills required
- Able to communicate and work as a team
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- 5+ years construction experience
- 3+ years water and sewer experience, safely operating a Track Hoe
- Operator must be comfortable with digging in confined area's
- Operator must be comfortable digging around underground utilities.
- Must have a valid G driver's license and reliable transportation
