Join the Programs team in our Chief Information Officer sector in the Senior Administrator, Surveys position.

We’re constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation and partnerships. The incumbent will administer day-to-day survey functions, including data quality, research, verification of survey data reliability, data collection and other survey-related tasks on a regional basis. He will assist HR in hiring enumerators and survey clerks in the regions along with providing training for the team as needed. The incumbent will help us make housing affordable for everyone in Canada.

The location for this position is Calgary or Vancouver – some of the work is onsite.

Responsibilities:
Leads the logistics of enumerators and data entry necessary for the conduct of surveys in the regions.
Implements processes to ensure the quality, reliability and timeliness of data produced through CMHC surveys within a region.
Supports cross-functional projects and initiatives that relate to survey design and analytics, proposes recommendations, contributes to project planning and operations.
Plays a key role in the development and delivery of training materials.
Monitors survey employees’ performance by providing ongoing feedback, progress tracking and coaching, recognizing accomplishments, addressing performance issues in a timely manner, and providing guidance to resolve problems.
Reviews existing work methods associated with data quality and reliability and provides recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Liaises between IT and regional survey staff for survey improvements, system enhancements and testing.
Plays an important role in maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Collaborates to ensure effective, negotiated and flexible allocation of human resources to meet shifting work volumes and to ensure that the region is able to respond quickly to changing priorities.
Plays a supporting role in the development (designing/planning) of new surveys and in the execution of surveys and survey-related projects.
Communicates with the housing industry and other stakeholders regarding CMHC’s housing market surveys and methodologies.
Provides market information/data to internal and external clients.
Delivers training to internal and external surveys staff on enumeration processes and protocols.
Supervises internal and external surveys staff on daily operational requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing or other field where survey-related methodologies are used or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
Effective leadership skills.
Knowledge of and experience with survey methods and processes.
Statistical skills to oversee the provision of high-quality data and analytics.
Sound knowledge of data quality control analysis and data management practices.
Strong oral and written communication skills as well as negotiation and team-building skills.
Flexible availability during high volume periods (August through November), rotating evening and weekend schedules to cover business needs as required.
