AGRIS Co-operative Ltd. has an opportunity for a motivated seasonal branch administrator/ operator to join our team in Chatham. You will also support the overall logistics and administrative needs of this full-service farm supply location. You will havethe opportunity to develop your capability to deliver broader agriculture innovation and services in our communities to enhance our farm owner profitability.

What will you be responsible for:

· Provide an exceptional customer experience at every interaction and maintain a professional environment within assigned work areas.

· Performs various administrative functions, relating to daily, weekly, monthly and year-end activities and assist in balancing monthly inventories.

· Receive, transfer, and transact all fertilizer, seed and crop protection products on a daily basis.

· Ensure all products ordered or shipped are properly invoiced prior to leaving the site.

· Understanding and administratively supporting overall branch operation.

· Awareness of sustainability issues such as 4R Stewardship.

· Maintains and updates customer information and records on a daily basis.

· Dispatches highway fleet: works with carriers, customers and facility personnel to set.

· the time and location of on-farm and field pick-up purchases.

· Ensures the grower is aware of end user grades and discounts prior to loading.

· Extended hours, as required, during the busy season.

· General labour position performing mainly manual labour. May seasonally operate plant equipment safely and efficiently.

· Provides general labour and operates equipment safely and efficiently inside and/or outside the facility as required.

· Performs other tasks associated with the handling of fertilizer and grain handled by the co-operative.

· Understands and follows AGRIS health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements for this Job:

· Demonstrated organizational and logic capabilities.

  • Requires a college degree or equivalent years of experience preferably in accounting or general administration.
  • General knowledge of farming practices preferred.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors. Physical activity includes walking and climbing, loading/unloading trucks and/or railcars, inspecting equipment, etc.
  • Ability to work irregular hours.

· May have or be able to obtain various licences, permits, and/or certificates as required.

· Valid driver’s license.
