Job summary

This role will report to the Director, Genetics, and will support Aurora’s Breeding & Genetics programs. The role will involve a combination of R&D projects, plus routine analytical chemistry and processing of samples for the Breeding and Genetics and Production teams.

We are looking for a talented Scientist, with or without industry experience, to join our effort in developing and applying cutting edge metabolomics and analytical chemistry tools in our cannabis breeding program. Sound interesting? Here is a little more…

As a Scientist, you will…

• Provide key contributions to Aurora’s Breeding and Genetics pipeline by performing various analyses of cannabis samples on LC and GC systems, including setting up sample runs and processing and quality control (QC) analysis of the data
• Conceptualize, design and execute research activities, as assigned, to more fully elucidate key cannabis traits
• Where required, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and standard test methods (STMs), perform sample preparation of cannabis samples for various chemistry-based assays
