Job Overview:

The Samples Clerk is responsible for the timely preparation of samples for internal and external requests, and ensuring all samples are prepared according to sample department protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the sample requests to ensure deadlines are met
• Package sample shipments according to company policies and standards
• Ensuring samples inventory stock is appropriately stored, rotated following FIFO
• Report obstacles when completing sample requests and seek appropriate assistance
• Work alongside the Shipping department to organize and manage freezer samples stock
• Collect, prepare (repack) and label samples to be shipped to Customers, Sales, and Marketing and for internal meetings
• Ensure cooler boxes and dry ice is ordered bases on sample requests
• Review the samples log daily, up to three days in advance - make recommendations for change if necessary
• Ensuring all administrative tasks are being completed accurately and timely fashion
• Communicate shortages to the Sample Coordinator promptly
• Record keeping of each item - lot number/ weight and any other “special instructions” that might be deem necessary
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work area and freezer space

Recipe for Success:

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of college diploma in Marketing, Business, Food Science, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum 4 years experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Previous marketing experience in food and/or bakery environment is preferred
• Must be able to multitask and flexible to change
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to handle communication from multiple stakeholders
• A self starter with the ability to identify projects, solutions
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills in order to meet tight deadlines, with strong project management skills
