Shift: 7.5 hour shifts, Days/Evenings/Weekends and on-call
Summary:
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) functions as part of the Operating Room team. The RPN is required to interact with patients, families, health professionals and other health care providers. Ability to scrub for a variety of surgeries. Contribute to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
- One year Operating Room experience preferred
- CPR certification required
- Accredited Operating Room course required
- Ability to adapt to a variety of clinical settings
- Ability to provide care to a diverse patient population varying in age, illness, and acuity
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
- Must be reliable and dependable
- Ability to work in high stress and physically demanding environment
- Good attendance record required
