The Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto invites applications for a Research Associate (Limited Term) for a three (3) year appointment. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2023.

The incumbent for this position will be expected to:

• Conduct research on empirical aesthetics with the PI and collaborators.
• Conduct fMRI experiments on aesthetics.
• Conduct eye-tracking experiments.
• Write and edit articles about this research.
• Develop grant proposals together with the PI.
• Co-supervise undergraduate and graduate researchers.
• Present the research at conferences and meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PhD in Psychology, or comparable discipline. Minimum 2 years of postdoctoral research experience in empirical aesthetics. Proficiency in computer programming (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R). Experience with designing and conducting eye tracking experiments. Possess a record of publishing articles in empirical aesthetics.

Additional skills required include project management, leadership and interpersonal skills to assist in the guidance and implementation of the research project that is comprised of a multi-disciplinary and international team of scholars.
