Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

Status: Part Time

Location: Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice, 110 McCurdy Dr

Seeking compassionate RPN's looking to further or gain experience in hospice palliative and end-of-life care to join our Residence Care Team at Ruddy -Shenkman Hospice.

The Position:

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, volunteers and staff to provide direct care to our residents according to their care plan, providing support and assistance to the resident and their families and/or caregivers and contributing to provide a home-like, peaceful environment.

Your Qualifications:

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses Ontario (CNO)
• Current CPR
• 1 year experience in hospice palliative and/or end of life care is an asset
• LEAP Certification (Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative Care), or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrate a patient-focused approach to care and ability to work with family/caregivers
• Ability to work as part of a interdisciplinary team of staff and volunteers
• Excellent communication skills in English - oral and written; bilingualism in both official languages/other is an asset
