The Opportunity:
In this position, you will be responsible for the advancement of the Westfield Quality department by implementing
engineering expertise and strategies. This will include finding ways to increase the manufacturability of our products,
performing root cause analysis to solve product quality issues and optimizing manufacturing processes to push
Westfield towards quality excellence.
The Team:
The Quality Engineer reports to the Quality and Process Engineering Supervisor and regularly collaborates with Quality Technicians.
Responsibilities:
cause and implement preventions to assure they are not repeatable
- Collect information on manufacturing procedures to determine the manufacturability of products to propose
- Work closely with production staff to implement quality control measures at the source of production
- Assist team with manufacturing and quality process training development and deliver training as required
- Prepare product analysis reports and experiments to validate product quality improvements and present
- Assist Quality & Process Engineering Supervisor with manufacturing process and product optimization
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
Experience: Related work experience considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A passion for problem solving, process improvement, and manufacturing of quality products
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks software
- Integrity, honesty, assertiveness, and confident personality
