POSITION: Project Foreman
REPORTS TO: Director, Projects
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Schedule: On-site, 7.00am - 3.30pm
We are looking for a Project Foremanto join our Projects and Engineering team! Our Project Foreman will manage the day-to-day aspects of company projects and will be accountable for the cost and timeliness of capital projects. You will become a valued part of the constantly evolving Projects and Engineering team and contribute to their success.

EXPERIENCE

  • You have at least 3 years of Project Management experience

NICE-TO-HAVE

  • Licensed Electrical/Mechanical Technical Graduate
  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
  • Pasteurizer/Power Engineer Certificate
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment

THINGS YOU WILL DO…

  • Work with the projects and engineering teams to drive and manage capital project installations
  • Define, maintain, and execute all aspects of project scopes, deliverables, timelines, documentation and more
  • Ensure Health and Safety and Quality requirements are fully met on all projects
  • Actively participate in strategic business planning, contract negotiations with vendors, project budgets, and more
  • Provide leadership on multiple projects at multiple sites
  • Oversee the work schedules of contractors and assigned personnel and evaluate the effectiveness of work processes
  • Oversee construction and commissioning on-site, providing direction where necessary
  • Complete equipment commissioning documentation on every project
  • Order parts & equipment where necessary

  • May on occasion work at various times including evenings and weekends, as the job requires
  • May on occasion travel around the world, as the job requires

__________________________________________________________________________________________________DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Work within the Projects team to drive and manage capital project installations
  • Ensure Areas of Responsibility meet goals and objectives by providing systems, resources, and training as needed
  • Ensure that appropriate resources are provided to complete projects in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Plans and Executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Work with OHS Manager to ensure all aspects of projects meet or exceed Health and Safety requirements
  • Ensure contractors follow all Health and Safety and Quality standards
  • Provides project management and technical leadership
  • Participates in the contract negotiations and maintenance of ongoing relationships with a variety of vendors
  • Forecast, develop, and administer project budgets
  • Interface with all other departments to ensure a cooperative effort
  • Oversees the work schedules of assigned personnel to meet completion dates, technical specifications, and budget limits
  • Accountable for the delivery of projects within schedules and timelines.
  • Research equipment details online and via phone for current and upcoming projects
  • Measure, mark layouts and verify surrounding equipment placement
  • Mark out cutting lines on floors as required
  • All other duties as assigned

Salary: From $90,000
