Job Description:
The Project Controller will assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day duties of a project’s administration, including cost controls, planning, scheduling, and the preparation of daily, weekly, and shift progress reporting, especially important to this position, is being performed by someone who is comfortable with change management and has a high attention to details.

This position is temporary, and it will include both office work and field duties. The anticipated start date is in early March, and the project is expected to run until late August.
What would you be doing?
  • Assist in plan and spec analysis to provide clear and coordinated interpretations of design/drawings for construction. Research and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences, and errors/omissions.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the project master schedule with input from other project management personnel.
  • Maintain correct and up-to-date logs, track responses, and advise the Project Manager of the status of such logs.
  • Monitor project work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications, and codes. Monitor receiving, warehousing functions, and material control.
  • Understand and perform document control functions following company policy and procedures, including creating RFIs, composing agreements, and keeping a project expediting list.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support core company values
Does this sound like you?
  • Junior to intermediate level
  • Construction experience an asset
  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft projects, Excel and Word.
  • Some experience with Primavera scheduling
  • Willing to work on client worksites and in Fort St. John district
  • Finance, business administration or supply chain background considered an asset
  • Organizational and analytical skills.
  • Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, TDG, WHMIS, and Common Safety Orientation tickets are an asset.
  • Proficiency in English verbal and written communication skills are required.
