TheoDone Publishings is a publisher and production house specialized in producing content in order to provide tools and knowledge to individuals of all ages in relation to children’s conditions and rights on a national and international scale. This includes, but is not limited to, educating people about familial situations, social issues, climate change, and providing leadership guides to youth and coaches.

Job Purpose:

Theo Done is currently looking for an individual to aid in data management/wrangling who is also autonomous, creative, and has an extensive interest in video production. The focus of the role is in archiving, organizing, and digitizing physical media for use in video production.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and digitize cassettes (VHS, Mini DV, Hi8, etc.)
  • Scan/digitize physical photos.
  • Management of video/audio/lighting equipment inventory.
  • Potential support on video production projects.
  • On-site filming
  • Post-production assistance (file wrangling, editing, etc.)
  • Manage workflow of multiple projects at once that may vary in scope and length.
  • Coordinate video shoot timelines, equipment and other logistics with team members.
  • Problem solving skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Technical Ability

  • Tech savvy with interest in working with old media.
  • Familiarity working with physical media (VHS, Mini DV, DVDs, etc.) an asset.
  • Knowledge of best practices for managing video, audio and image files.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and the Google suite (e.g., Slides, Sheets, Docs)
  • Enthusiastic about Film Production
  • Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Premiere Pro) an asset.
  • Understanding of video production workflow (from production to post) an asset. Job Specific Competencies
