JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Director, Finance Portfolio the Product owner:

  • Partners with product stakeholders and customers across the organization to develop and lead the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization
  • Define the 2-3year product roadmap and be accountable for its execution


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with product stakeholders (business & technical) to co-develop a roadmap and drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develops, owns, and executes product roadmap.
  • Defines and executes go-to-market plan for roadmap execution.
  • Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Prioritizes and maintains the backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
  • Partners with product stakeholders to define the user experience.
  • Identifies change management impacts to end-user community and collaborates with respective stakeholders to manage/mitigate.
  • Create the functional design of the product and its features based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology.
  • Ensures data & Insights are available to create actionable outcomes to the ultimate customer.
  • Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
  • Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment.
  • Understands Product roadmap risks, issues, and blockers actively assists with issue resolution.
  • Establish and execute a strong engagement plan with Global, regional, and technical product stakeholders.
  • Ensure all solution acquisition and technology projects are authorized and executed in accordance with the requirements of Technology Governance.
  • Ensure solutions and technical decision align with the strategic drivers and architectural mandate of the McCain Technical organization.
  • Establish and execute a strong engagement plan with Global, regional, and technical product stakeholders.
  • Work with Global & Regional IS to establish business priorities in line with the IS strategic drivers
  • Develop partnership relationships with our strategic vendors to maximize the value from these engagements.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders and vendors to ensure products are embedded with an appropriate network of support for user onboarding and capability.
  • Support the development of training programs & material, to sustain product capability.
  • Proactively Explore industry trends and advancements in technology to identify new and leading solutions that will significantly impact the achievement of the business objectives and move McCain ahead of the competition.
  • Identify opportunities within the business to improve or provide data & insights to enhance decisions or facilitate agility.


Solution Acquisition

  • Assist in developing business cases for new applications.
  • Ensure that new applications are scalable for global applicability and that McCain has one global applications vs multiple regional applications.
  • Assist in ensuring that new solutions are properly integrated with existing applications
  • Assist with RFI/RFP process for selection of software provider and system integrators.
  • Assist in the development of contracts, professional service agreements and statements of work.
  • Responsible for the blueprint, realization, testing, training, go live and hyper care.
  • Assist with ongoing application requirements e.g., contract renewals and licenses etc.


Releases/Upgrades & Evolution

  • Ensure release, upgrade, and development processes are in place to ensure the stability of the system and minimal business disruption relating to technical change.
  • Ensure appropriate testing and technical support is in place for technical changes
  • Develop life cycle roadmaps for all products
    • Includes version alignment globally and timing of upgrades.
    • Ensure new functionality is communicated to the business.
    • Prepare for any "end of life" scenarios and work to develop replacement alternatives.

  • The product owner has a deep knowledge of the product, processes, and customers.
  • Ability to easily context-switch for both strategic and tactical activities
  • Project Management: strong project management skills
  • Change Management: ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communication platforms to ensure success of projects
  • Excellent Analytical, problem solving, prioritization and collaboration skills.
  • Strong Presentation & facilitations Skills:
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Management: Ability to work with all levels within the organization including SLT


KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Computer Science/Engineering
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience
  • Consumer goods industry experience and CPA /CFA /CA certification will be an asset
  • Advanced knowledge in Enterprise Performance Management, Consolidation and Financial Planning systems (e.g. OneStream, Oracle EPM, Hyperion, SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud) and expertise in analytical models and business intelligence
  • Expertise in SAP Finance will be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Planning and Reporting processes and integration with Sales and Supply Chain
  • A solid understanding of master data and its integration with Finance
  • Experience in leading project teams preferably in a global environment.
  • Experience working within an agile project delivery framework
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across levels and functions internally and with third parties.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, changing environment with ambiguous conditions, dealing with both internal and external customers, including cross functional teams.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • Key internal relationships: Corporate Finance and Global FP&A teams, Regional Finance Teams, Global and Regional IT Teams
  • Travel: as required
  • Job is primarily performed in a standard office environment but working from home an option upon agreement with Manager & McCain Policies
