We are currently looking for a Pricing Analyst to join Radiant and be part of our dynamic team.

HYBRID WORK MODEL: Work in the office at 1280 Courtneypark Drive E, Mississauga every Monday and Wednesday. Work from home Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays.

What You’ll Do:

  • Receive, analyze and process all incoming RFP and spot rate requests for cross border, domestic Canada and domestic USA business opportunities.
  • Review RFP documents. Identify any areas of concern from rate expectation and/or accessorial requirement which are outside industry standards. Request clarification as needed to source competitive rates based on equipment specifications using existing and new carriers, taking into consideration customer service expectations and corporate guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit RFP rate request template. Source rates and volume commitments from carrier network; review and populate RFP template with carrier submissions and historical data; submit completed RFP template; maintain detailed spreadsheet. Update if required.
  • Follow up with Sales on the status of RFP submissions. If the Company is awarded business from RFP submission, inform carriers and Operations accordingly. Arrange for onboarding calls if required. If RFP is not successful, obtain feedback from Sales for future submissions.
  • Review individual spot rate requests. Request clarification as needed. Source carriers and submit rates.
  • Work with Intermodal team to provide alternate highway solutions for existing and potential opportunities as identified.
  • Control carrier registration within RMIS, working with carriers and RMIS representatives as required. Manage rule overrides within the RMIS system in accordance with Company standards. Ensure carriers are compliant with Company and regulatory standards
  • Manage the monthly distribution of the OTD report to carriers; follow-up on individual carrier correction plans when performance falls below Company OTD standards for highway and intermodal service expectations; assist in the preparation of quarterly carrier QBR’s.
  • Remain current with competitive insights and pricing trends that impact carrier costing in the industry. Communicate internally as required.
  • Work with Solutions Design and Business Intelligence teams on process enhancement of data integrity to better support costing initiatives of current business.
  • Develop and maintain carrier partnerships, understanding their core corridors and costing strategies. Maintain contact lists. Share information internally as required.
  • Update and maintain customer and carrier rates, fuel and accessorial programs.
  • Assist in the cost impact analysis of carrier rate increases.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Minimum 5 years’ highway dispatch operations experience in the non-asset transportation industry or 3 years' pricing experience.
  • Experience doing load brokerage and spot quoting.
  • Experience with large RFP’s is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of carrier networks within North America.
  • Knowledge in cross border and domestic LTL / TL pricing and procurement (Highway, Temperature Control, Flatbeds, Cross Border and Domestic).
  • Knowledge of CFIA, USDA and FDA inspection requirements are an asset.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to interpret fuel programs (i.e. FCA, Petro Canada Rack Rate, etc.) and manipulate all-in costing to base plus fuel with that information is an asset.
  • Intermediate computer skills required in Excel i.e. filter, sort, formulas, graphs, pivot tables.
  • Working knowledge of transportation management software i.e. TEDS, PC Miler.
  • Working knowledge of load boards i.e., LoadLink, DAT, Internet Truck Stop.
  • Working knowledge of bid web applications e.g., Lean Logistics is an asset.
  • Experience dealing with RMIS is an asset.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented and highly accurate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and function under pressure to meet time constraints.
  • Dedicated commitment to providing superior, timely service to both external customers and carriers while meeting the needs of the internal sales group.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form.
  • Good at building relationships.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
  • Team cooperation and respect is required.
