PHYSIOTHERAPIST ASSISTANT (PTA) - CASUAL POSITION Job at Mississippi River Health Alliance
Reporting to the Director of Allied Health, the incumbent is responsible for providing clinical care for assigned patients under the direction of the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, and performs associated functions to support service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate from a Physiotherapist Assistant/Occupational Therapist Assistant Program, recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing current technology including Microsoft Office Suites, Meditech.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and communication skills in dealing with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and document client care plan and progress.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to health and safety policies, procedures and applicable legislation.
- A demonstrated ability to perform the extensive physical demands of the position.
- Availability to work a flexible work schedule.
- Minimum of six (6) months' experience in an Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy setting (preferred).
- Previous placement or work experience in rehabilitation, community-based service provision and fee-for-service work (preferred).
