Payroll Manager - 3+ months Job at The Mason Group
Our client is in the restaurant and hotel hospitality business. They are looking for a Payroll Manager to join them for a 3+ month contract. The role is 2-3 days in the office located in Ancaster, ON.
Key Responsibilities of this Payroll Manage Include:
Working with a Payroll Analyst, processing end to end payroll for 1300 employees
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll including new hires, terminations and changes to pay rates
- Review and assist the team with uploading manual timesheets into the system
- Government remittances ie HST, T4, WSIB and EHT
- Payroll month end and year end ie journal entries and Payroll reconciliation and reporting
- Year end responsibilities including balancing and filing T4s, Annual EHT returns and WSIB reconciliations
TMGCT
- PCP designation
- CPM designation (in process or completed)
- 5+ years of full cycle Canadian Payroll experience
- Senior level Payroll experience is a strong asset
- Processing multiple payrolls dedicated to different entities
- Payroll system experience ie Payworks, ADP or Ceridian
- Strong Excel skills
- Detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
