About the role: We are in growing rapidly and expanding our team. We are looking for an exceptional Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team, who is detail-oriented to help maintain and administer payroll and benefits for our business. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and time-management skills, and ability to work with tight deadlines.

They should be able to go beyond their typical day-to-day job description in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

This candidate has the ability to provide a high level of customer service by performing a variety of support and administrative tasks.

Job Duties:

• Accurate and timely preparation of salaried and hourly semi-monthly payroll for over 800 employees
• Collect and input data in payroll reconciliation spreadsheets and HRIS (Dayforce)
• Manage the payroll system in Ceridian Dayforce including (but not limited to) processing new hires and terminations, overtime, vacation pay, and miscellaneous adjustments
• Create and submit Records of employment (ROE) to Service Canada
• Assist with the annual reporting and reconciliation of year-end reporting, T4 slips and T2200s
• Communicate with employees and managers on payroll and benefit queries
• Assist with the administration and reconciliation of the employee Group Benefits and Savings Plans
• Track all payroll and benefits processes, review, and complete audits as per the annual audit schedule, run reports in excel and provide data analysis
• Handle inquiries regarding payroll and benefits with internal or external stakeholders
• Prepare calculations and reports for Stats Canada or any other legislative body
• Provide backup coverage as needed
• Support HR team with special projects or initiatives as required

Must haves:

1) Ceridian Dayforce experience and should have their PCP (If not PCP, ADP / UKG).

2) 2-3 years working experience

3) Excel

Soft skills:

1) Accuracy / detail oriented

2) Good communication skills. A group of fairly different personalities.

3) Team environment.
