The Skotidakis Factory is situated on the Quebec / Ontario border. We are located in St-Eugene K0B1P0. We are center located between Montreal – Ottawa and Lachute. A shuttle service is offered from Montreal to our facility.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

  • The Parts Technician performs ordering, warehousing, inventory control and materials management of parts.
  • The Parts Technician provides the materials for the needs and requirements of the Maintenance Millwrights.
  • The Parts Technician will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Fulfill requests from Maintenance and Millwrights for material needs.
  • Properly store materials in appropriate areas.
  • Manage and catalogue inventory with consistently updated real-time records.
  • Manage and maintain a common tool crib for specialty tools for millwrights.
  • Understand the procedures of the CMMS and applicable procedures in the ERP.
  • Track inventory levels and make recommendations for purchases to ensure stock availability.
  • Retrieve and receive goods supplied for Maintenance department purchase orders.
  • Distribute received goods to stock, planned kits, projects or immediate use as required.
  • Input accurate data into CMMS and ERP as required to maintain proper and real-time records.
  • Prepare outgoing materials for shipment (returns or outside repair orders).
  • Prepare documents for possible warranty claims.
  • Perform other responsibilities, tasks and/or duties as per the request of the Maintenance Manager.

  • Understanding of how to dispose of hazardous waste material in a safe manner.
  • Ability to use computer technology to make labels, track inventory, and keep a record of storage.
  • Ability to work well with others and participate as a valued member of the Maintenance Business Unit.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Parts Technician - 240P Red Seal Trade or equivalent experience in materials handling is an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Desire to work in an organized and positive warehouse environment.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, and place mechanical spare parts and materials that may weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work full-time on Day shift 08:00-17:00.
  • Attention to detail and good task management skills.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment is an asset.
