SkyNorth Air Ambulance is accepting applications for Full time Flight Paramedics (ACP) and Flight Nurses (RN).

Aero-A is the title used in Manitoba as either Advanced Care Paramedics or qualified Registered Nurses working as an Aeromedical Attendant for Air Ambulance.

Aero-A Requirements:

  • Paramedics must have graduated from a recognized Advance Care Paramedic (ACP) program and be practicing as an ACP.
  • Paramedics must be current with the College of Paramedics of Manitoba.
  • Nurses must have graduated from a recognized critical care / emergency course or have two years of related experience.
  • Nurses must be current with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
  • Candidates must be certified in BLS, ACLS and one of the following trauma courses - TNCC, PHTLS or ITLS.
  • Manitoba Child abuse Registry clearance (max 60 days old).
  • Criminal Record Check with vulnerable person clearance (max 60 days old)
  • All Aeromedical Attendants must complete a CAMATA course or equivalent within a reasonable time frame (paid for by SkyNorth Air).

SkyNorth Air Requirements

  • Proven ability to perform effectively in both a team environment and independently.
  • Must have strong decision making skills and able to adapt well to a changing environment.
  • Position involves staying at one of our three bases (Island Lake, Thompson or Winnipeg) while awaiting dispatch. Crews consist of two pilots and one AMS.
  • Two years of practicing as an ACP or ER experience is preferred.
  • Crew quarters are comfortable with a minimum of three bedrooms, kitchen, full bathroom, satellite TV and high speed internet.
  • Job orientation will be provided and the duration will be based on individual comfort zone.
  • Full time schedule is a Tuesday – Tuesday one week -or- two week rotation
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination Required for Employment
