Job Title: Licensed Mold Technician
Department: Mold Group
Reports to: Mold Group Supervisor
Shift: Mid-nights
General Job Description
Responsible for servicing production molds including preventative maintenance, modifications and repairs. This position encompasses jigs, fixtures, general machining and the manufacturing end of arm tooling.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for supporting production in times of repair and/or trouble. shooting injection processes.
· Prepared to be “on call”.
· Running/Operating all tool room equipment.
· Capable of Mig, Tig and Foil Welding.
· Working knowledge of master cam.
· Across shift coverage, overlapping when necessary.
· Must be certified Mold Maker/Tool and Die/Machinist.
· Capable of training Apprentices.
· Work in a safe manner within Health and Safety guidelines.
· Maintain 5S in all assigned areas.
· Other duties as assigned.
· TG Minto may amend the reporting structure and/or duties and responsibilities as business needs require.
Supervisory Responsibility
This job does has no supervisory responsibility.
Qualifications
· Have relevant certificate for Mold Maker/Tool and Die/Machinist
· Ability to communicate with skilled trades at all levels of experience and management
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Two-year college diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering Tool &Die/ Mold Making or General Machinist. 3 – 5 years
Language Skills
· Ability to read, speak and write in English to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
