MIG Welder/Fabricator Job at Peel Hr
- Set up and operation included adjustment and/or replacement of expendable tooling, guides, jigs, and fixtures.
- Responsible for Machines and assignments included the ability to operate forklift and overhead crane, utilizing radio or cab controls.
- Used a variety of hand tools such as the hammer, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, grinder bander.
- Used measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
- Converted fractions to decimals and vice versa, added and subtracted fractions and decimals.
- Welded carbon steels using stick and mig equipment.
- Responsible for Repairing roll off and trash containers Making of parts for the on a wet band saw.
- Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
- Connects cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, as specified by the engineer.
- Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining weld, and size of molten puddle.
- Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions and examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
