Dryden Powersports is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and highly self-motivated individual to join our team as Mechanical Technologist!

The 4 Seasons Powersports Group is an authorized Lund, Crestliner, BRP, Mercury, Yamaha,
STIHL, and Cub Cadet dealership in Kenora, Dryden, and Fort Frances, Ontario. Offering a large selection of new models of boats, ATVs, sides by sides, snowmachines, sea-doos, outboard motors, lawn mowers, and a variety of pre-owned units. We are also a full-service and parts dealer authorized to service most product lines.

Our Mechanical Technologist will excel in meeting daily work schedules, demonstrating strong product knowledge, customer service, work area organization, and safety.

Key Responsibilities include:

Manage technical documentation, scheduling, critical timelines, inspections, maintenance safety regulations etc.

Study, interpret, and analyze engineered drawings and specifications for machines, mechanical assemblies and components, power generation & transmission systems, automotive equipment, leisure vehicles, gasoline & diesel engines, special power sports equipment containing mechanical equipment etc.

Troubleshoot equipment, analyze repairs/servicing needs and supervise technicians for job performance and accuracy

Coordinate work distribution to technicians on a daily and weekly basis

Develop work schedules and repair orders to coordinate spares availability with service and sales departments

Monitor and control parts utilization as per work orders

Be accountable for all work and ensure that units are carefully inspected and reviewed prior to delivery

Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, identify, assess clients' needs, and recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate services

Provide cost and material estimates, communicate with customers following completed work, and provide reports to senior management

Provide guidance and mentor skill upgrading training needs of maintenance staff

Develop presentations, proposals, or other engineering / materials needs to illustrate benefits for organization

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

2-3 years of work experience in technical supervision
Completion of a two or three-year college program in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
Languages: English (excellent verbal and written skills)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $18-25/hourly for 40 hours per week
