Summary:

The teacher will be responsible for teaching in an interdisciplinary, inquiry-based model. The teacher must be able to create inquiry/project-based learning experiences that explore big ideas and concepts allowing students to thrive within an environment of complex knowledge construction as opposed to simple information assignments. Students will be expected to demonstrate learning in authentic ways beyond the four walls of a classroom and teachers will facilitate this as an integral part of the assessment cycle. This position is designed for a forward-thinking, collaborative educator who thrives in a team environment and is willing to continue to operate on the leading edge of education and adjust practice accordingly.

Semester 2, the successful applicant will be teaching Math 9, Applications Workplace Math 10, Foundations of Math 11, Science 9


Education & Experience:

  • Major/minor in Mathematics and Science
  • Experience teaching Mathematics and Science at the Secondary level
  • Eligible for B.C. Certification
  • Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum report
