Math Instructor (Grade 11 & 12 teaching required) NO REMOTE WORK Job at Mathnasium of Markham

Applicant Requirements (please apply ONLY IF the following is applicable to you):
- Must be available at least 3 days a week (Mon-Thu 3:30pm-8:30pm), MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS REQUIRED
- Expectation to work for Mathnasium for a MINIMUM of 6 months
- Can teach up to and including at least Grade 12 Advanced Functions, and one of either Calculus & Vectors or Data Management
Position Requirements:

- Exceptional math skills through Secondary School level
- Superior organizational skills
- Ability to professionally communicate and interact with parents, and students of various ages
- Excellent listening, observation, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience or other experience working with students/children
- Aged 18 years or older
Instructor shifts may begin up to an hour before opening time, and end up to a half-hour after closing time. Minimum availability of three full shifts per week is expected, and scheduled shifts will vary.
All candidates must successfully pass our Instructor Math Literacy test in order to be considered. For those hired, there will be paid training in the Mathnasium MethodTM of teaching, as well as ongoing paid training opportunities.
