Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary:

• Operate all required machinery in Maintenance Department;
• Repair and/or rebuild production machinery, as required;
• Support Manufacturing and Building PM programs;
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of area;
• Any other tasks as assigned by Management;
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures;
• Ensure all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with JGW code of business conduct and in accordance to the JGW Confidentiality Policy.

Skill Factor:

• Strong Electrical background
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision;
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in team environment;
• Knowledge of CNC equipment an asset;
• Manual machining ability;
• Must be able to read blue prints;
• Must be able to read measuring devices;
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment.

Effort Factors:

• Commitment to support Production when needed;
• Occasional exposure to hot conditions in warm months;
• Capable of lifting products 40 pounds or less;
• Ability to work rotating shifts or any other shift as required;
• Occasional exposure to heavy lifting (over 50bls).

Education:

• Grade 12 or equivalent;
• Previous welding, maintenance experience, preferred.
• Millwrighting Experience
• Electrical Experience

This position is located in Princeton, Ontario, which is 25 minutes from Cambridge and 10 minutes from Brantford.
