Cornerstone Co-op is recruiting for a positive and enthusiastic manager to lead our Cornerstone Co-op Liquor Store Team at our location in St. Paul, AB. You will be instrumental in developing your new team and providing strategic direction and insight for this location. As a brand ambassador, you will model living the brand everyday through our Mission statement and our values of Teamwork, Commitment, and Integrity.

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the entire Liquor Store Team Leaders and Team Members in all areas of People, Financial, Market Growth, Sustainability, Operational Excellence & Safety.
  • Be sales growth orientated and committed to providing excellent customer service
  • Work with event coordinators, resellers, and licenses to build sales
  • Create and exemplify a strong customer service culture and outstanding customer experiences
  • Be a champion of sourcing local products and forging strong local partnerships
  • Have robust product knowledge and be invested in continuous training
  • Lead and support a team, ensure engagement, trust and collaboration within location Team and other Co-op Liquor Teams
  • Adhere and maneuver through AGLC rules, regulations, and company policies
  • Provide creative and innovation solutions in promoting products through social media, and traditional promotional advertising
  • Be safety aware and contribute to building a positive safety culture

Who you are as a leader:

  • Great communication skills
  • Experience guiding and supervising an employee team is required
  • Retail experience in a competitive and complex environment is preferred
  • Experience within the Co-op Retailing System, or in a retail liquor store would be an asset
  • Embody a hunger for curiosity for new trends, products and potential services
  • Basic financial acumen
  • Ability to handle multiple demands – adaptable, organized, efficient and committed
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Computer skills are required – Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Available to work a variety of shifts – including days, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis
  • A clear criminal record check will be required
