Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Leadership Development Consultant for one of our Federal Government clients in the National Capital Region. This work can be done remotely.

The following responsibilities are associated with the “Statement Of Work” but are not limited to:

Title
Consultation and coaching sessions for senior management of Service Canada, Quebec region.

Objectives
Achieve excellence in senior management and provide senior management with the most effective tools
and knowledge to deliver on its multiple mandates.

Context
Given the context of continuous change and period of uncertainty, these sessions are essential for senior
management to carry out their duties and operations.
The changes and disruptions require senior management to adapt to new ways of performing the
required tasks in a very short time frame.

Scope of work
The work is intended for senior management of Service Canada, Quebec Region.

Requests for services will be communicated to the supplier via the Regional Management Services (RMS)
team as required.
The contractor will be required to provide services in English or French as requested by the RMS team.

Tasks
Individual coaching and consultation sessions
Individual coaching and consultation sessions are required every 2 weeks for 60 minutes.
The consultant will prepare a summary of needs for coaching and consultation session participants.
  • Participants will have to describe their needs to the consultant for the required consultation and
coaching sessions.
  • The document that participants provide to the consultant should include the development
targets, needs and objectives set by senior management.
Participants will have 10 individual coaching sessions to ensure they have acquired the necessary skills
and assimilated the elements covered during the sessions.

Group coaching and consultation sessions
Group coaching and consultation sessions may be required on request and should be 90 minutes long.
Participants are members of senior management. The maximum per group will be 8.
The consultant will prepare a summary of needs for coaching and consultation session participants.

  • Participants will have to describe their needs to the consultant for the required consultation and
coaching sessions.
  • The document that participants provide to the consultant should include the development
targets, needs and objectives set by senior management.
The consultant will meet with each participant for 15 minutes to gather additional information.
Participants will have 6 group coaching sessions to ensure they have acquired the necessary skills and
assimilated the elements covered during the sessions.
An action plan in the form of a coaching and mentoring program must be provided to participants to guide
them in applying the skills they need to work on and the specific themes that senior managers should
discuss with their respective teams.

Committee and meetings
Senior management may be required to facilitate meetings and participate in various committees.
Example:
o Workplace committee
o Executive committees
o Mental health committee
o Etc.
Senior management may be required to facilitate certain work meetings.
Example:
o Strategic retreats
o Etc.

Constraints
When a service is requested, the contractor must contact the client within two business days of the service
request and begin work within 10 business days.
Services will be requested as needed, all at the client’s convenience.

Meetings
The sessions are held virtually on a widely used video conferencing platform such as Zoom or MS
Teams.

Travel
There are no travel requirements associated with this contract.

Client support
A discussion must be held between the consultant and clients, or a feedback questionnaire provided, at
the end of the scheduled sessions (whether individual or group sessions, or for committees and
meetings). The method used should be a joint decision between the clients and consultant.
