The Architecture, Information Management & Project Management Office of the Central Agencies I&IT Cluster is looking for experienced individuals to provide systems development, programming and consulting expertise to clients, related to the use of information technology on innovative cognitive computing projects and initiatives.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
  • Assist with gathering business and information requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in complex systems analysis and design processes.
  • Assist in researching, analyzing and prototyping innovative technologies with a specific focus on business intelligence and data analytics.
  • Provide advice/expertise in the acquisition of software, hardware, and technology.


How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge:

  • You have knowledge of information technologies such as servers, storage, networks, operating systems, database technologies, security technologies (e.g. authentication), development tools and programming languages.
  • You have knowledge of and experience implementing business intelligence, predictive analytics, machine learning and cognitive computing technologies and solutions.
  • You have experience with low code platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform.
  • You have experience with business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • You have experience with SQL and No SQL database technologies.


Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • You can research and recommend best practices, policies and strategies.
  • You can make recommendations on the acquisition of applications, software, hardware and information technology services.
  • You can assess information and systems needs of clients, and assist in the development of improved, cost effective solutions.
  • You can design alternatives based on business/client needs and provide recommendations on solutions.
  • You can develop test cases and perform QA testing on business intelligence solutions.


Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

  • You can lead discussions on systems development options and technical processes with project teams.
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • You are effective in making presentations.
  • You can work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.


Computer Skills:

  • You have proficiency with using various office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio to develop documents and presentations.
  • You have proficiency with using Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power BI.
  • You have knowledge of, and experience working with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • You have experience using Software Development tools.


Project Management Knowledge and Skills:

  • You have general knowledge of project management components and processes, including planning, scheduling, costing, procurement, resources, implementation, quality control, communications, stakeholder management, risk management and project integration.
  • You have proficiency with using project management information systems, such as the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool, shared folders, and collaboration tools.
