Job Description
Your Team
The Summer Student, General Labourer performs comprehensive housekeeping duties on the interior and exterior of homes to ensure home is clean and presentable at all times, the construction site is tidy and safe, and clear of debris and hazards. This role will be on site in our Midhurst community.

Your Key Deliverables
  • Collect and dispose of debris at construction sites complying with waste recycling programs
  • Ensure house is prepared for the next scheduled trade and is safe inside and out
  • Ensure employees, trades partners clean up after themselves, and the site is clean at all times
  • Assist with cleaning of homes when required
  • Ensure excess materials are moved to the next site for use and the Foreman is notified of the material count
  • Verify material deliveries, count and report to Foreman
  • Review, assess and report any onsite safety concerns to Health and Safety and/or immediate supervisor
  • Assist Superintendents with regards to maintaining sites, advising if garbage removal is required and organizing the removal
  • Ensure garbage collection bins are used efficiently
  • Assist team members in miscellaneous tasks, when needed

Must Haves
  • Ability to work in a fast pace and physical demanding environment
  • Ability to perform physical duties, to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • 1+ year of construction experience
  • Current WHMIS Certification
