Job Posting: Entry-Level Graphic Designer (Contract Position Up to 35 hours/week)

Indigenous Marketing, a rapidly growing marketing agency focused on promoting Indigenous businesses and organizations, is seeking an entry-level Graphic Designer to join our team. This position offers a contract opportunity with the potential for full-time employment. As a remote position, you will have the flexibility to work from home, with occasional in-office time required as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating visually appealing and effective graphics for various digital and print media, including websites, social media platforms, print ads, and other marketing collateral.
  • Collaborating with the creative team to conceptualize and develop designs that effectively communicate the clients’ brand messaging.
  • Incorporating feedback and making revisions to designs as necessary.
  • Vectorizing original Indigenous artwork
  • Ensuring all designs are in line with brand guidelines and maintaining consistency across all materials.
  • Managing production responsibilities such as preparing files for print and online publication.
  • Handling quick turnaround projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and companies to manage and develop designs that support their specific needs.
  • Keeping up-to-date with emerging design trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in graphic design or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Experience in preparing print and online files for production.
  • Ability to work on quick turnaround projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
