Inventory Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Inventory Coordinator will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager. This position will work between two Variperm locations in Leduc to make sure that the production teams have the materials required to keep up the pace of production as needed. They will have a wide variety of tasks in this role including forklift operation, using computers and the ERP system to track inventory and supply consumption, moving products in the shop and assisting the buyer with small purchases. On average, you can be expected to use the computer for the majority of the shift (40%). Additional miscellaneous tasks such as paperwork and inventory (40%) and forklift operation (20%) will cover the rest of your day. The tasks can change at a moment’s notice so it is important to prioritize the supply demands of the production team to make sure they are set up for success.

Work Schedule:

Mon-Fri 6am-4pm or 6am-6pm (would be between 10-12 hour shifts in average)

Overtime will be paid on all hours worked over 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday, and over 40 hours per week

Work Environment:

• Busy manufacturing locations-noisy machines and lots of movement at all times.
• Very much a team focused culture-need to be willing to help others and be a team player to get the job done.
• Shop is loud (PPE is provided)
• Need a vehicle to access these sites.

• Strong Computer skills; working knowledge in Excel, Word and ability to learn an ERP
• Experience in ERP systems (business central) an asset.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Previous work experience in a manufacturing or machining environment a strong asset
• Previous manufacturing experience logistics a strong asset
• Counterbalance forklift experience (6+ months minimum)
• Ability to stand on your feet for 10-12 hours per day
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs
