OVERVIEW

Vertex is currently accepting applications for Indigenous Relations Advisors (contract).

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• For this role, you must:
  • Have excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be punctual and responsive to requests in a timely fashion
  • Be able to think on your feet and possess a genuine personality
  • Have related work experience in northern communities
  • Be knowledgeable of Indigenous Relations
  • B.Sc. in Forestry, Environmental Sciences or Indigenous Studies, or diploma from a recognized technical school is considered an asset

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Must have experience with:

• • Provincial Government First Nations and Metis consultation processes and have the ability to handle multiple projects and clients
  • Coordinating and attending site visits with community members
  • Coordinating and attending community meetings and open houses
  • Providing innovative solutions to clients for issues that arise throughout the consultation process

• Liaising with Government personnel regarding project specific concern mitigation plans

WORKING CONDITIONS

• As these are contract positions, you must be comfortable with frequent travel and have the flexibility to work outside of regular business hours
