Black Sheep Heavy Duty is currently looking for a Field/ Shop Technician for our team! Varied heavy equipment and agriculture experience is an asset. Willingness to learn is a must. This position will primarily service our local Red Deer County, Kneehill County and Stettler County agriculture area. Successful applicants must be willing to relocate or be within a reasonable commute of Delburne. Manufacturer training: Case IH, John Deere, Volvo, CAT, New Holland, Hitachi, Komatsu is an asset.

Job Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• Inspect and test equipment, diagnose faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical components, test, and adjust units to proper specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, and advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
• Install new and added-on equipment.
• Daily completion of service reports and time.
• Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and techniques.
• Other mechanical work as required.
• Deliver excellent customer service skills and work well alone in the field, or in a team environment when required.

Skills and QualificationsThe following skills and qualifications are preferred but all qualified candidates will be considered.

• Agricultural equipment: 1 year minimum
• Journeyman license in Heavy Equipment or Ag preferred. 3rd or 4th year apprentice will be considered.
• Good time management communication skills
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Flexible to work schedule and extended hours
• Computer literate, and able to utilize and learn new technology Education and Experience
• Basic welding experience is an asset
• Previous experience as an agricultural or heavy equipment technician
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract What We Offer
