Fuel Transport is in full expansion and is looking for a forklift driver to work ( One part-time employee and two full-time employees. Daytime hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, evening hours from 4:00 pm to 1:00 am and night hours from 12:00 am to 8:00 am.) in our offices located in LaSalle, Montreal. The selected drivers will have to work a regular shift from Monday to Friday with the possibility of working Saturdays. Please note that this job has a lot of overtime.

Job Summary:

  • Move merchandize from one place to another using the forklift or Clap lift.
  • Operate other mechanical devices and/or other controls that operate lifting devices like lifting Roll and pallets.
  • Load, unload and move merchandise using the WMS.
  • Inspect products to be moved for accuracy and safely move them to location using scan gun. Load and offload trucks using the scan gun.
  • Loading and unloading pulp bales from trains and trucks.
  • Ensure coordination of incoming and outgoing trucks.
  • Carry out the reception and dispatch of the goods.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Attributes:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Responsible, autonomous, respectful, good organizational skills and management of priorities.
  • Good sense of observation.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in the forklift driving.
  • Forklift driver competency cards (mandatory).
  • Experience with shipping and receiving of heavy goods.
  • Possess steel-toed shoes or boots.
  • Bilingual: French and English. The requirement of another language is required for this position as the candidate will be required to interact and communicate with clients, suppliers and colleagues throughout North America.
  • Available to work flexible hours (when necessary)
