Job Summary: Working with a dedicated team, provides the highest level of food service possible in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to ensure a positive guest dining experience. Oversee a team of servers and bar tenders in the Lounge and Restaurant.

Role and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate for the Food and Beverage Manager will bring a ‘can-do’ approach to the leadership team. Your positive energy, collaborative nature, and entrepreneurial spirit will inspire your team-members and help drive growth.

  • · Collaborate with Kitchen Manager
  • · Coordinate daily Front of the House restaurant operations
  • · Assist servers and bartenders as required
  • · Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • · Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • · Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
  • · Ensure supplies and setup is prepared for opening shifts
  • · Organize and supervise shifts
  • · Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • · Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
  • · Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • · Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • · Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • · Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
  • · Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  • · Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • · Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Key attributes:

  • · Minimum two years in hotel management or supervisory role
  • · Excellent knowledge of food and beverage sector
  • · Exceptional communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • · Excellent skills in liquor costing, purchasing and controls
  • · Experience and accuracy in monitoring and reporting inventory items
  • · Leadership, training and team building skills
  • · Food Safe and Serving it Right certification
  • This role requires the ability to perform the following:
  • · Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 23kg (50lbs)
  • · Standing up and moving between hotel outlets
  • · Handling food, objects, products, and utensils
  • · Bending, stooping, kneeling

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
