Finance Manager (Toronto) - # 15659

Our client, a prominent Toronto law firm is hiring a Finance Manager! The mid-sized firm is dedicated to professionalism and offers a competitive salary based on experience.

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000

Duties & Responsibilities :
- Manage and support accounting staff;
- Ensures trust and general bank reconciliations are up-to-date;
- Responsible for month-end close - journal entries, processes and balancing;
- Process wire transfers and record payments as required;
- Update/generate various reports as required (daily statistics, monthly/annual reports, audit query support); and
- Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements :
- 10+ years of accounting experience in the legal industry;
- 2-3 years in a supervisory role;
- Extensive experience in handling full accounting cycle;
- Efficient in A/P, A/R, Reconciliations, Billing, Trust and General Accounting and Bank Deposits;
- Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, trust, laws and regulations, and reporting requirements;
- Experience providing guidance, mentoring and/or managing employees;
- Organizational and time management skills are essential; excellent at managing multiple priorities with frequent interruptions;
- Experience with Thompson Reuters Elite 3E is a huge asset; and
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 2013 and Document Management systems.
