Your daily role

  • Perform predictive and corrective maintenance on facility assets and complete scheduled preventative maintenance, to ensure the highest degree of reliability in a safe and cost effective manner
  • Demonstrate an absolute commitment to safety
  • Perform time critical repairs on packaging and production equipment
  • Assist engineering and maintenance with projects and equipment upgrades
  • Maintain, repair, upgrade, install and test electrical controls and equipment
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications
  • Maintains record of work performed on a daily log sheet and preventative maintenance documents
  • Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are followed as per regulations

Your profile

  • High School education required
  • Journeyman Electrician Certification (442A or 309A)
  • Certificate of Apprenticeship required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment
  • Food processing background is considered an asset
  • PLC Programming and troubleshooting skills, considered an asset
  • Ability ro read, interpret, and appropriately apply diagrams, OEM manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Experience installing and maintaining power distribution systems, automation systems, lighting, and building wiring
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is necessary
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team
  • This position requires rotational shift work and weekends
  • Pay rate is $37.10/hr ; 3 weeks after 3 years, 13 paid holidays, benefit eligibility at 90 days including comprehensive Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, pension, RRSP, bonus etc.
