· Ensure all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots or pans and food preparation equipment in both kitchens are cleaned using dishwashers in a timely manner.

· Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.

· Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving as needed.

· Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards or refrigerators. Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas.

· Assist with replenishing food on banquet buffets as needed.

· Sweep or scrub floors.

· Clean garbage cans, sort and remove trash and compost, placing it in designated pickup areas.

· Provide efficient and courteous service to each guest and operate according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the management team for the satisfaction of all internal and external guests.

· Maintain procedures to ensure the security and proper storage of food and beverage products.

· Ensure that all kitchen equipment and storage are in proper operational condition and cleaned on a regular basis.

· Must be willing to work shifts and weekends. Must be able to work rapidly during busy periods while remaining calm and professional.

· Follow shift checklists to ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner.

· Assist in maintaining ‘green’ initiatives (example: recycling, compost and cleaning agents).

· Maintain safe working conditions within the Food & Beverage department and the hotel; adhere to company policies regarding WHMIS, OH&S and fire drills and be aware of the action taken in the event of an emergency (such as fire, flood, bomb threat, etc) as per the SOP Manual

· Contribute to the security of the building, company assets and guest/co-worker safety by reporting of suspicious persons and handling of keys/cash as appropriate to the position.

· Adhere to governmental regulations as well as brand standards and hotel or company policies and procedures.

· Perform other duties as assigned.
