We are looking for a motivated Coordinator to join our Delta WorkBC team!


POSITION FUNCTION
:

As the Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Manager in overseeing the development and delivery of our WorkBC Programs. With a focus on quality assurance and staff supervision, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including community partners, agencies, and funders, to ensure the successful delivery of employment services to our clients and the achievement of our contractual outcomes. Your expertise in program coordination and partnership management will be essential in driving our success and helping us make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.


QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • A post-secondary degree, certificate, or diploma in a relevant field (human resources management, career development, counselling, social work, psychology, adult education), or completion of course work in related fields, or two or more years of demonstrated experience in:
    • Community development and employment programs.
    • Implementing policies and procedures within the WorkBC employment services context.
    • Working with immigrant populations and people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Building partnerships with employers, community agencies and other stakeholders.
    • Experience doing job development.
    • Providing employment counselling services.
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the manager in developing and implementing effective program strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of the WorkBC Programs.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of program services by coordinating and implementing deliverables stipulated in contracts, monitoring progress against contractual outcomes, and preparing regular reports on the achievement of quality standards.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant industry standards and best practices, including CARF standards, and ensure their application in program design and delivery.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of systems, procedures, and standards for the program, and review documentation of services to ensure compliance with quality standards and program requirements.
  • Participate in the evaluation of the program, develop and implement evaluation of program components, and provide recommendations for revisions to the program model to improve program outcomes.
  • Work with the manager to hire, train, and evaluate program staff, particularly in relation to the overall quality of the program, and ensure subcontracted staff receive the support they need to perform effectively.
  • Ensure staff understand and follow policies, procedures, and maintain the standards in service delivery, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • With the manager, prepare or supervise staff in preparation and monitoring of budgets, cash flows, variances, financial statements and reports, and expense records, and make recommendations to optimize resource allocation and utilization.
  • Provide coverage and support to clients as needed, and ensure that their needs are met in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.

HOURS: This is a full-time permanent position of 35 hours per week.


Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle and be able to commute to North Delta and Ladner.


BENEFITS:

A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
