Job #4366 – A growing, and exciting, charity organization is seeking a Controller to join them! The ideal candidate is a highly capable individual with a positive attitude who has a passion for non-profit organizations and can adapt to changing priorities. Working alongside the CFO, you will be leading all financial aspects or the organization and working closely with budget holders and the board of directors. The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee day-to-day transactional accounting
• Manage the budgets and forecasts and lead financial reporting and analysis
• Lead month-end and prepare reporting packages
• Lead review meetings with budget holders and manage the financial support of granting activities
• Build and manage system integration implementations and identify any methods to improve efficiencies
• Work with the fundraising team and oversee the donation receipt process
• Ensure Canada and US filing accuracy and lead the audit process
• Work closely with the CFO and contribute to the board of director packages

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Post-secondary education in business, finance and/or accounting
• CPA designation is preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written

Definite Assets:

• Supervisory experience
• QuickBooks experience
• Previous grants or NFP experience is considered an asset
