Primary responsibilities:

Overseeing projects from start to finish.

Submittals and shop drawings.

Assess field conditions and measurements with installation team.

Ordering and tracking material

Working with warehouse to prepare installation crews prior to install date.

Meeting the installation crew on site as installations commence and as needed during the project to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

Attend jobsite meetings as needed.

Following up with the end user post installation to ensure the utmost customer satisfaction has been reached.

Review all purchase orders and compare them against the initial estimates submiited by the sales team.

Confirm estimated profit margins are in line with the scope of work needed to complete the project, both allocated labour and materials. Understand the parameters of the contract in regard to both labour and materials.

Provide accurate measurements and descriptions for all hardware and materials.

On-site job management during installation. On-call for emergency repairs, if necessary.

Aptitude to take on projects with security vestibules/storefront as time goes on.

Qualifications:

College diploma

DHI credential DHT, CFDAI preferred

Continuing education in progress towards attaining AHC credential through DHI

5+ years related experience in commercial hollow metal (doors and frames), wood doors and architectural hardware

Blue print/plan reading

Knowledge of doors, frames and hardware, building and safety material for the general commercial construction industry

Ability to read an architectural scale

Detail oriented

Deadline conscious and goal driven

Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing deadlines

Knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions, including options spanning from mechanical access/egress control to total facility

Understanding of electricity and electronic components

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong customer focus
