The District of West Vancouver Planning & Development Department is currently accepting applications for a temporary full-time Clerk III. We are looking for an experienced administrative support clerk who is motivated, well organized and detail oriented. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and managing hard-copy and digital records and files in accordance with established procedures;
  • Reviewing a variety of forms and supporting data for accuracy and completeness, and conformance with departmental procedures;
  • Providing varied administrative support for numerous staff projects;
  • Providing clerical support to the public and to District departments;
  • Data entry, filing, preparing and maintaining documents and notices; and
  • Performing other related duties as required

The preferred candidate will have: completion of Grade 12, supplemented by post secondary courses in related discipline (such as planning, architecture, the social sciences) and related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

The successful candidate will have: working knowledge of modern office methods and procedures; some knowledge of digital filing and indexing methods and recordkeeping; strong ability to pay attention to detail; ability to work independently in accordance with detailed instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts; and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The successful candidate is required to supply a police information check and a copy of their credentials. The successful candidate is also required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of hire.

Starting Rate of Pay:


$29.11 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits
