Scope

Surrey Parks, Recreation & Culture is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Clerk 3 to join the Community & Recreations team. The position performs moderately complex and diversified clerical work in various capacities in an inbound call centre environment.
Responsibilities

This customer service-oriented individual will have demonstrated initiative, teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.

You may be responsible for:
Maintenance of payroll records as well as prepare and post staff schedules;
Maintaining accurate records/information pertaining to facility booking, program registration and membership accounts;
Oversight of cash handling procedures, preparing and maintaining reports (daily, weekly, monthly) as required and maintain up-to-date records and files;
Creating, modifying and completing bookings of recreational facilities as assigned;
Assisting Call Centre staff in performing their duties;
Keeping up-to-date with Recreation Services programs and activities;
Interacting and supporting the public with various recreation needs;
Taking meeting minutes and following up with the team members on action items.
This position requires flexibility in job duties that include Call Centre oversight, receiving inbound phone calls and general support of the day-to-day operations. In this position, you will be working with the PRCMS registration system, payment balancing, reconciliation and customer account problem solving.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a strong skill set in building relationships with customers, exercise good judgment and decision making. In addition, this individual will provide phone coverage for Call Centre staff when necessary and assist with de-escalation of any customer concerns.

The successful candidate will have:
Completed grade 12; supplemented by several courses in word processing, office practices and PC office applications
At least two years’ experience and training in an office environment
Accurate typing speed of 45 w.p.m.
Conditions of Employment

This position requires completion of a Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check.
