Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Business Banking Advisor within the Advice Center is responsible for providing professional, attentive, and accurate banking services to our clients in a contact center environment. You will be responding to clients proactively offering value added service including digital advice, opportunity spotting, and taking accountability for the resolution of their concerns. Keeping client experience in mind, you will ensure that clients receive an optimal service at a level that meets their needs. This is a full-time and shift oriented role with an opportunity to potentially work from home.

What will you do?

  • Provide professional financial advice to new and existing business clients

  • Recommend products, services, and/or share information with clients to meet their unique immediate and future financial needs

  • Support business & personal product and service recommendations with details that are easily understood and convert value towards the clients’ stated needs

  • Manage risk and compliance routines when carrying out transactions

  • Achieve higher levels of proficiency by providing effective advice to clients regarding deposit, cash management and payment processing needs

  • Demonstrates commitment to First Call Resolution by taking ownership & accountability of client problems at first point of contact

  • Proactively and diligently enable clients to digitally self-serve

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Proven customer service and sales skills, preferably in the financial or service industry, and a track record of success in a client-focused, target-driven performance culture

  • An aptitude for listening, establishing rapport and finding the right solutions for customers

  • Excellent telephone manner, IT literacy, and digital knowledge, as well as multi-tasking and problem-solving skills

  • An interest in mobile and digital devices and an ability to help clients navigate through self-serve applications

  • Strong English oral and written communication skills (bilingualism in French is an asset)

  • Flexibility to work various shifts that meet our clients’ needs between Monday to Friday 7 AM to 11 PM (EST), Saturday 7am – 10pm EST & Sunday 8 AM – 10 PM (EST)
