Our Booking Agents are the first point of contact for customers and work with part of a team to ensure they have the experience of a lifetime. We consistently provide outstanding service by focusing on each guest's unique needs, proactively anticipating areas of concern and providing informed descriptions and recommendations on our products. The smooth coordination of tours and rentals from the initial inquiry to signing waivers and final payments is facilitated by our Booking Agent team. They must possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests. The Booking Agents must have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be able to problem-solve in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers.

Job Duties

  • Creating a memorable guest experience and exceeding expectations
  • Handling of an extensive inventory of sleds and gear
  • Creating and managing accurate tour bookings working with different booking software
  • Greeting and checking in arriving guests
  • Waiver procedures, ensuring all documentation is filled out accurately and completely
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of all job-related aspects – products, policies and procedures
  • Sustain relationships with tour operators and other resellers
  • Responding to all guest inquiries and complaints, resolving issues and seeking supervisor assistance if needed
  • Strong communication with the whole Great Canadian Tours team
  • Maintaining a fun, supportive and positive workplace

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma, GED or higher
  • Completion of a two-year apprenticeship program, or college education in tourism preferred
  • Experience in tourism related customer service
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Experience with snowmobiling not necessary but an asset
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients to accommodate them with the best tour option possible
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Effective communication internally and externally

Work Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Regular physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting and kneeling
  • Overtime as required

  • Revelstoke, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
