Alberta's largest and most progressive collision repair company is looking for an experienced Prepper/Painter for our Grande Prairie location! Job Description

• Inspect incoming panels for properly completed body repairs, look for severe dents, pinholes and scratches, ensure the paint is ground back sufficiently from body filler (notify the Quality Control Coordinator of any non-accident related damage)
• Review the Work Order in detail and complete the Warm Transfers
• Mask / protect any areas adjacent to panel(s) to be prepared
• Prime as necessary
• Apply abrasives and use hand and power tools in preparing panels for final refinish
• Maintain cleanliness of your work station
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-4 years paint/prep experience (JM Refinishing Certificate would be an asset)
• Able to understand, communicate, read and write English at a level needed to meet job related task and safety requirements
• Your own set of tools as it relates to the position
• Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental standards and procedures and a commitment to safe work habits
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and time management skills required
• Strength and stamina required to handle heavy tools, manual dexterity, creativity, patience and a keen eye for detail
• BASF experience preferred, but not essential

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.00-$39.00 per hour
