About you: You are an exceptional student with a broad range of interests and skills, interested in working directly on files and with clients. You are detail-oriented and appreciate working with a calm and dedicated team. You have an obvious connection to our community or a clear interest in living and working here. You have strong writing skills, a solid work ethic, and the ability to relate to clients and colleagues.
About our articles: You will work with partners and associates on a broad range of litigation and solicitor matters; and with staff to learn legal work from the bottom up. We’ll start by creating with you a written articling plan, which will include conducting research, attending court, drafting documents, and assisting in transactions. Where appropriate, you may work directly with clients. You will be encouraged to be involved in our community.
About our firm: We are a full-service law firm with one of the largest bases of corporate clients in the Fraser Valley. We have deep relationships with our clients and the community. We strive to be practical problem-solvers and emphasize team over individual performance.
About our community: Abbotsford is BC’s 5th largest city. We have the largest farmgate in BC, an international airport, and a world-class hospital and regional cancer centre. Rents and housing costs are much less than Vancouver, on par with the Okanagan. We are 1.5 hours from skiing at Manning or Baker, 1 hour to downtown Vancouver, and minutes from awesome mountain biking and trail running.
